July 4th

I am so far behind on posting...I don't have any good excuse, other than, by the time the kids are in bed and I acually have time to sit and do it, all I really want to do is veg out on the couch and watch the ever so addicting reality shows.  The boys are going back to school tomorrow and I am hoping to get some things crossed off my list.

The above was written 6 days ago, ***sigh*** see this is how life is.  I have ever good intention to get this blogging thing done and then life happens!  So here we go again, where were we?  Oh yes, 4th of July.  For the 4th this year we had a get together at our park on the 3rd with all of the neighbors and then on the 4th (which was Sunday) we went to church and then did fire works that evening with a few neighbors in the front yard.  Nothing too exciting but still made some wonderful memories for our family.

Sacramento Railroad Museum & Joe's Crab Shack

On Wednesday I woke up early and just wanted to do something that was all about my kids!  I really wanted a day away from the dishes and laundry and the boredom of summer break and focus just on my little ones...for I know that these days that they are little are not going to last forever.  I thought about it and decided to take the kids to the Sacramento Railroad museum and have lunch on the river at Joe's Crab Shack!  So I rushed and got in the shower before the boys got out of bed, we had a quick breakfast and headed out the door.  I left the house without even checking my email (that is huge for me!).  We strolled around the grounds of Old Sac for awhile and found this really cute store TrailMix.net , it is a store that is all about learning and the outdoors.  They have all sorts of cool things all geared just for kids.  Mason found a super cute frog habitat (we just mailed off for some tadpoles!) and Matthew got this really cool book full of dinosaur facts and then an excavation kit to find the bones of a dinosaur and put it together.  We then went to the museum and had such a wonderful time learning and looking and playing.  It was such a treat!  After an hour or two in the museum we headed to the bank of the river for some crab legs at Joe's Crab Shack.  We sat outside and watched the boats go by...it wasn't too hot it was just perfect!  Ah, what a beautiful day!

This is the little store I was talking about TrailMix.net...it really was super cute.  The boys just loved it.  If you are down that way stop in and check it out.

Matthew is my little photographer!

Makayla was such an amazing little girl...I couldn't have created a better baby myself.  Thank you God for her, she truly is perfectly made!!

Matthew being just one month shy of 10 is really starting to act like a BIG BOY!  He is so funny, really, I mean he makes me laugh out loud sometimes and he is so much fun to hang out with.  He is just getting so mature.  Even though I miss his little baby face and remember the days that he fit in my lap I am really enjoying him at almost 10!  He is like my little buddy/helper!

After lunch we walked around and found the old school house of Sacramento.  It was the very first single room school house in Sacramento.  Outside in the court yard they had two swings...we had to take a break and check them out!

Summer fun!

Most of our summer days are spent at the pool.  We are so lucky to have Club Lincoln just down the street complete with two pools, a hot tub, a water park area, a workout room, a game room and lots of picnic areas to just take a load off.  It is so great that both the boys love the water and have become such good swimmers.  I wasn't sure how Makayla would like the water...but she takes after her big brothers...a GIANT WATER BABY!!  Here are just a few pictures of the boys at Club Lincoln...Makayla didn't get in the water this day, she and I just watched and hung out!!

Mason lost his first tooth!

On June 8th, 2010 Mason lost his very first tooth.  It had been wiggely for so long...he wiggeled it and wiggeled it but nothing for weeks.  Finally one morning after he woke up he was laying in bed messing with it and out it popped!  The very next day Brookly who lives right next door lost her very first tooth and would you believe it was the exact tooth that Mason had lost (the bottom right).  Here he is missing one tooth on the bottom.

Mason & Brookly lost their 1st tooth within a day of eachother!

Papa got married!

On May 15th, 2010 we got to attend the wedding of Papa and Nori.  It was so great to be able to finally meet many family members that I have heard so much about but never had the chance to meet.  We are so blessed to have Nori in our family!  Little Makayla needed a grandma and Nori fills those shoes just perfect.
Seems I am short on words tonight...I wish I had a ton of pictures to share, but I don't.  I will share a picture of our family, Aunt Karen & Max and Uncle Dennis, Aunt Karen, Evan & Zack.

Disneyland 2010

We took our annual trip to Disneyland this year on the week of my Birthday!  What not a better place to celebrate than the happiest place on earth...right?  Well we had a few rough days but over all it was a successful trip filled with lots of memories we will cherish for a life time.  Makayla was just the best baby ever...I couldn't have wished for a better baby if I tried.  Thank goodness because I think we forgot how much work little ones are in Disneyland.  We only made 1 trip back to the hotel room because of a Blow-out!  I am so blessed to have a husband who loves Disneyland just as much if not more than me!

Mason rode Space Mountain for the very first time and Makayla got to meet several Princesses while dining at Ariel's Groto!

We had lunch at the Blue Byou for my birthday and feasted on an all you can eat buffet at the Story Tellers cafe located just downstaris in our Hotel, The Grand Californian!

We rode and rode again and again Muhollands Madness, watched Aladin and The Mupets in 3D.

The boys swam in the pool many times during our stay and we were able to watch "Dreams Come True" a fireworks spectacular!

Here we are on my Birthday...

and here we are getting ready to go to the pool...
